O, Mighty Trouser Press

I used to get very excited when I learned a new edition of the Trouser Press Record Guide was due for release. To me (and a lot of other people), this guide contained the most diverse, enlightening and entertaining commentary on much of the best music of the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s. In its online incarnation, TrouserPress.com remains as essential as ever. I consider it an honor to add my voice to this resource, and to work with its editor, Ira Robbins.

These are direct links to entries on TrouserPress.com that I contributed to:

  • You Am I (I wrote all of it.)
  • Liquor Giants (...the last three paragraphs.)
  • Lilac Time (...from "Compendium: The Fontana Trinity" to the end.)
  • Magnetic Fields (...comments on "69 Love Songs" and "Hyacinths and Thistles.")
  • Cardigans (...from "First Band on the Moon" to the end.)
